This staircase project in Warlingham shows that having a stairlift does not mean compromising on style. Our customer selected the Gatsby herringbone carpet by Floors by Lewis Abbott, finished with striking black Jubilee stair rods to create a staircase that feels both elegant and practical.
A key part of the installation was achieving a neat, carefully fitted runner while working around the existing stairlift system. Every section was measured and planned to ensure the runner sat cleanly beneath the stairlift rails without affecting its operation.
The herringbone design adds texture and movement to the staircase, while the black Jubilee stair rods give the finished installation a smart, defined look. It is a great example of how accessibility and thoughtful design can work together in a busy home.
To create a stylish staircase that retained full stairlift functionality while adding warmth, texture and character to the hallway.
Every section of the runner was individually planned to work seamlessly with the stairlift installation. Careful measuring, accurate pattern matching and precise fitting around the rails ensured a neat finish without compromising accessibility or performance.
The finished staircase proves that accessibility and great design can work together beautifully. The herringbone runner, black stair rods and carefully integrated stairlift create a practical solution that remains a real feature within the home.
