Our clients wanted a warm, elegant flooring finish that would bring character and continuity to their Chislehurst home. The project included Amtico flooring across the downstairs areas and landing, paired with a smart striped carpet on the stairs for comfort, texture and contrast.
They chose Honey Oak from the Amtico Spacia range, laid in a small herringbone design with a one strip border. The warm oak tone works beautifully with the natural timber balustrade, giving the hallway and landing a classic look while keeping the finish practical and easy to live with.
The Amtico was also carried through the downstairs spaces, helping create a connected feel between the main areas of the home. This gives the property a consistent, high-quality finish, with the herringbone design adding detail without feeling too busy.
On the stairs, Cormar Carpets Pimlico Stripe in Clapham Stripe was fitted to add softness and a tailored finish. Made from 50% New Zealand Wool and 50% Polypropylene, Pimlico Stripe is moth resistant and suitable for extra heavy domestic use, making it a strong choice for busy staircases.
To create a warm, practical and characterful floor that would connect the downstairs areas with the landing, while using a soft striped carpet to bring comfort and definition to the staircase.
Amtico Spacia Honey Oak was laid in a small herringbone pattern across the downstairs areas and landing, with a one strip border added for a clean, framed finish. The stairs were then fitted with Cormar Pimlico Stripe in Clapham Stripe, creating a natural transition between the hard flooring and carpet.
A beautifully balanced home with warmth, pattern and texture throughout. The Honey Oak herringbone gives the downstairs and landing a classic, high-quality feel, while the striped stair carpet adds comfort, durability and a smart finishing touch.
